Grand Spirit

My T-5 has a set of Grand Spirit Aqua Flows on it for tires. I bought this sucker used and have never heard of that brand before. Was it standard on the vehicle new? What's the story with these bad boys?

As always, thanks in advance!!!

Tim

Re: Grand Spirit

Who-Wa! Someone else got these puppies! When I bought my '93 850 in March it had 2 brand new "Grand Spirit Aqua Flow GTX", P195-60R15H tires. I bought 2 more at a local tire shop for $157 for the pair, mounted and balanced. I actually like these tires. They have great wet traction, and I've pushed them as hard as I dare and they respond well. Got over 15k on 'em and they still look new. I'll be shunned and ridiculed by the Volvo Elite, but what the hell, they work for me.

Re: Grand Spirit

Stock tires where probably Michelin XGT V4 205/55 R16. If you have

the owners manual there may even be a warranty card from the tire

manufacturer that will tell you what tires it came with.

The XGT V4 is a speed rated tire (V rated to 149 MPH). They are

good for about 25K miles before needing replacement. Cost about

$150 each. You want at least an H rated tire for replacement

(rated to 130 mph).

tirereack.com has a good web site that will list tires appropriate

for the car.
