Starting / flooding issue 98' S40 T4 S40-V40

I have a weird issue with starting one of my cars. Cold start it starts perfectly, warm start just after shutdown it starts perfectly, however warmish start after sitting for a while it winds over alot but always starts, but there is a very rich fuel smell when starting.
Any ideas where to start ??

Cheers Mike

It might be a fuel pressure regulator that is starting to leak fuel into the manifold. The vacuum line that controls the FPR goes to the intake manifold, check for gasoline smell.

Lets hope it is not a leaking injector. Cleaner, in that case.

I have always had a hard time shifting with my left hand while going into a round-about :)

Thanks for that, it will be looked into as it were.
If you sit on the right side you won`t have any trouble reaching the gear lever with your left hand, who cares about the steering wheel !!
