oscillating vibration at and above 130 kmh. about every .5 seconds C70 2004

Can feel it in the steering mainly but not severe. Below 130 kmh no vibration at all. A tire balance issue?

Maybe an operator issue? Try swapping the driver and the passenger. If the driver is a 400 pound guy and the passenger is a slim, petite woman.... :)

HaHa, just kidding. I'll bring some torx tips in and we'll take a look at the timing belt. While we are under the hood, we can also inspect the upper mount. I had to replace the one on my V70, was easy to do.

Klaus, I never thought of the fuel filter being clogged causing a vibration. I will have to replace it and give it a whirl. Also I will continue 85 mph to say 95 and see if it gets worse or tapers off. You can only feel it
in the steering which shakes a very little then smooth then shakes again in about even increments of .5 of a second. It starts at 81 mph exactly every time. Thanks for the tip as I just bought the car. The tires are
quite new but there was no record of them being installed available.

Given the vibration, I would say that it is engine/rpm related. Check the rpms at 130-140K, then try the same rpms at a lower gear and see if it still vibrates.

Also check the top engine mount for excessive wear.

That's 81 mph for USA folks. By all means, get the tires re-balanced. But, normally, a tire problem would get progressively worse and not oscillate.

Sounds more like fuel delivery problems. Is the fuel filter good?
