DDM (Driver Door Module) Replacement S60 2001

The DDM (pn# 30658116)in my 2001 s60 is acting up. Power to Driver side window switch is intermittent, but only the driver window switch not any of the other three window switches. I assume there is a faulty circuit on the board but cant find it. Any thoughts?

I purchased a used DDM (pn#8682949) but when I install it there appears to be noi power to module at all. The replacement module is shorter than the original but the part #'s appear to be interchangeable. Will I need to have the door software reset for the replacement module to be recognised?

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

PH

DDM (Driver Door Module) Replacement S60 2001

The master window switch was rumored to be software dependent for a couple of years. Others have just replaced tham without any problems. I am not sure if the replacement you got is compatable since it is a different size and obviously for a different car.

What usually fails in the window switch is the contact at the switch, not in the circuits. Dirt, corrosion, and even metal fatigue.
