Well......I'm sure this subject has been drilled into the ground, but I guess it's now official with Volvo's new owner: The Chinese.
In a way, I'm glad I have the last "pure Sweedes"..... my 1990 740GL and my 1998 S70 T5....but am totally bummed-out about what the future holds for this amazing brand of cars. I hope that it's new owners keep the brand real and not chop it up and move it to China. One question keeps popping up in my head: Why didn't Volvo Sweden take back the brand???? WTH?????

I know the answer to that one - I don't think Volvo AB has been having the best of times financially. They just don't have the cash even if they wanted Volvo Cars (and incidentally, I don't think they do).
