passenger power window goes down, won't come back up-still cold in WI V70-XC70

uhhhh

rolled the passenger window down on my 1998 V70 to say goodbye to child; now the window will not roll back up. tried both the driver master switch as well as the passenger switch. It continued to go down but would not come back up. Shut car off and started again with no luck. it is still too cold in WI to drive around with a window down

Any ideas/suggestions???

TIA
Chuck

Problem is probably in the master switch. Try lifting the switch about 20-30 times to clean the contact.

You could take the switch out, unplug it, and then jumper the hot wire to the rear window plug.

The problem lies in the window switch itself. These are not as reliable as the switches on the 850's. You can take the switch apart and clean the contacts. The other option is to order a mew switch from Tasca. I just place an order for mine!!!

My 2002 had that problem for an hour. After trying the switches a 1000 times, i disconnected the battery for two minutes, and then when power was back on, it worked!
For the past 6 months it's ben ok.
