Can anyone tell me if a crate grille from a v70 1998-2000 will fit a 2000 v70xc? I thought the body of these 2 cars was the same, but the price difference is anywhere from $150 to $200...what gives?

My understanding is that the crate grill from the XC was deeper than the standard grill, with different mounting.

Give a call to DarylWaltrip Volvo, in TN. Let them know you are a brickboard member for an additional 10% off?? Otherwise, call local junk yards.

Yes. The crate design XC grille is preferred by many and interchanged into S/V70's for a more clean look, but I'm not sure that justifies the huge price hike on it.

You're aware that the V70 has a vertical bar, chrome grille, right? =D
