I'm puzzled... S70 1998

Picture the area on top of radiator shroud, just bellow the plastic top.
There on the right side is a brown electrical plug, vertically positioned.
If I unplug it, I notice that it really has no male part to go with female conector. What's the point of this? Why does it plug into 'nothing'?
What is the purpose of this?

    Do you have fog lights? headlight wipers? The plug you found is part of a wire harness that is prewired for other components such as fog lamps or headlight wipers, or other components not used in this market. They put a dummy plug in it to keep things dry and clean.
