Well the car has been running well lately (which is good). I am really amazed how the power comes on in this car. (My wife does too!)

Took it thru NJ inspection today, here are my emission readings at 2450 rpm's:

gas / standard /reading

HC / 220 / 4
CO / 1.20 / 0.01
C02 / ? / 14.5

Could my HC and C0 reading be this low? I was amzed that it was so low. I did ut high test in to help it run better, but I mostly run plus in it. What was weird was when they were doing the emission test, the guy doing the reading brought somebody over to the car, I really thought it was going to fail. Also, my service light is being stubborn and doesn't want to be reset, I thought they might fail me for this, but they did not.

But over all it was a good day for me.

The service light is really only a counter. I don't remember if it's tied to hours of operation or mileage or some combination of both....??? it doesn't actually point to anything being wrong with the car at all - it's just a reminder to take it in for service. There is a reset procedure for your car, which you can find on this board and others. Do a search.

However, I guess I did make myself clear, both myself and my volvo mechanic were not able to reset my service light using the method you suggested.

A-7, 1-1-1-1, 1, 5, 1.

Make sure the driver's door is closed and the key in posII.

What do u think of the emissions, could they be the actual correct readings?

Don't bother trying to commit suicide in your garage :) The govt inspections don't lie, these cars are clean! If maintained properly...
