Headlight Bulb Replacements

Wondering what the board’s consensus is on headlight bulb replacement. There are a lot of Xenon replacements on eBay, but I am not sure about these HID bulbs and the wiring harness capacity.

Has anyone had good or bad experiences?

    Are you replacing bulbs or the complete headlamp assembly? For an assembly replacement look for a C70 1999-2000 with clear lenses.

    For bulbs, I would stick to the standard listed in the manual. HIDs are too bright and the pattern is all wrong with the US DOT standards anyway. You could also look into Ecode lenses which have a nice flat cutoff and great night time range on low beams using standard bulbs.

        I have been very pleased by the PIAA bulbs. A drop in fit and big improvement over OEM.
