Gas evaporation canister V70-XC70 1998

Does 1998 V70 have charcoal gas canister for evaporation? If yes, where is it located? When I open the back gate, and pull out the floor panel on the right, next to gas tank, I see some lines and a thicker looking one that attaches to small plastic square looking 'thingy' bottom of which goes through hole on the floor to 'something' bellow. This connection is not very tight, I don't know if it is suppose to be. There aren't any things in the area that look like typical cylindrical canister.

    The evap cannister is actually in front of the driver's front wheel. The normal for a break in the line is the right rear axle area, accessible from the outside. Very close to the fuel filter.
