I'm the proud new owner of a 96 850 Turbo Wagon. It's a whole new world compared to my 87 240! Anyway, I got the car yesterday and am going over it before I take it to be safetied and I noticed that the connector for the low beam is all burnt and the light is out. It looks like the bulb was not plugged in completed and the thing heated up. So, my question is can I replace the little 2 wire plug or do i need to replace the entire light assembly?

If you are handy. You could go from the front. remove the lense you will see clips all around. careful ... pull out the silver chrome type reflector. and you could splice in a new "little 2 wire plug". this all requires patience and dilligence. Everything comes apart. remember how to put it back together.

Thanks for the reply. What I did was order a connector from http://store.candlepower.com/index.html and simply cut old one off and put the new one on. Kinda fiddly and a bit of a pain in the freezing rain we had yesterday, but it's done and the headlight works!

I'm looking forward to taking the 850 on a 3 hr. highway trip today. Man I love this car!!
