What are the symptoms of a failing ABS module? V70-XC70 1998

I have a buzzing which seems to come from my front brakes. The ABS light is sometimes on. I think it is the ABS unit. Does that sound correct to anyone?

What do I need to do to fix it? Can the module be repaired?

Thanks.

When the ABS control module fails, you get the Brake, ABS, Check engine, sometimes the TRACS light.
So you don't spend any unnecessary money.. I would wait to see if more lights come on. If they don't, then your problem lies somewhere else I believe. Good luck.

(http://home.earthlink.net/~vicrocha/ He rebuilds ABS modules for 5x less than the dealer.)

I recently had my ABS controller rebuilt. Even with the controller completely removed from the car, I did not get a Check Engine or Brakes light on the dash.

It had shown many of the classic signs of ABS controller failure: warning lights after driving on rough roads, sporadic ABS rumbling, and ABS/TRACS light randomly lighting. The symptoms got progressively worse until they occurred with every trip. Having the controller rebuilt eliminated all the problems. Removal took a little over an hour & installation was less than 45 min (in the dark...including cleanup and testing).

Hello, This one should really be searched first. You'll find the answers so easily. The bad news is that the light show on your dashboard will get worse. The good news is that they are commonly repaired.
