Removing exhaust manifold 850

I'm going to attempt to remove the exhaust manifold today in my head gasket repair.

Can I just remove the manifold bolts and drop the exhaust pipe supports to push the manifold back from the head or should I remove the flex pipe connection and pull the manifold out of the car?
