Need help with idle problem XC90 2004

2004 XC90 T6. My car has been dying when at idle. It will restart but will keep dying unless the throttle is "jazzed" quite a bit. Under acceleration it seems to run fine. The CEL came on and I pulled the codes P2190 and P2188 indicating that both banks are running too rich. I checked the hoses and they all seem to be fine. This problem happened about three months ago and then went away. Now it is back. I'm thinking maybe a bad MAF? Anyway, if I unplug the MAF and it runs better can I assume that is the problem and replace it? Thanks

Check & see if the throttle needs cleaned/for the dying. Situation sounds familiar.

Yes, a sensor bank too rich code would be a good guess for that. Give that a try...make sure the ignition is off first! If it runs better, then it most likely is the mass airflow. Replace with an OEM one for the best luck...Volvo's are picky about aftermarket brands on these.
