Fuel saving magnets 850 96

Anyone ever use a fuel line magnet on an 850 turbo type vehicle? Does the ECU compensate for the presence of the magnet and nullify it's effects?

I've heard a magnet on the roof improves driver response time.

Personally, I fell that changing the air in the tires every 5000 miles is the most cost effective means of getting better fuel economy, less wear, and more comfort. Think about it - everything does better with fresh air instead of stale.

The same magnet is more useful in alleviating the effects of arthritis in sheep.

Re: Fuel saving magnets 850 97

The ECU would have a better chance of compensating if the magnet actually had any tangible effect whatsoever. Even the effect of a slightly worsened power to weight ratio is offset by the lightening of one's wallet...

These fuel magents have been touted in various guises for years all around the world. Never been a shred of evidence that they work other than anecdotal. For what it's worth, we had some spare dyno time a few years back and we stuck such a device on the car and gave it a whirl... Needless to say... no difference.
