My ABS module died.

I had some trouble getting it off, but I did and sent it to Vic Rocha.

He was unable to resurrect my module, but he managed to put together another one he had on hand for me - upgrades and all.

He charged me about $250 for the unit and shipping to Canada. So I spent more money than if my old module had been rebuildable but still I think I did okay.

Also I found his service to be pretty prompt, and he was upfront with me when he was unable to fix my module.

The module he sent me seems to be working fine. My warning lights are out anyway.

I am taking suggestions on how best to test to see if the ABS/TRACS is working as expected. :)

I would highly recommend doing business with Vic Rocha.

I remember New Brunswick having lots of dirt roads - a very long time ago! It also rains a lot :) Either would be ideal for checking ABS and TRKS. Speed is not a factor, you can check ABS at any speed above 8Km and TRKS from a standing start.

haha you're right about the dirt roads and the rain.

So if I have this straight in my mind -

Standing start on gravel road test -
TRACS OFF - wheels spin like crazy
TRACS ON - wheels barely spin at all

Stopping on gravel road test -
hard braking from above 8km/hour == brake pulsations

PS - let me know if you're ever in New Brunswick again. It's a big place but if you're close enough I'll take you out for drinks - I owe you that for sure! ;)

What a great retirement idea: Just travel the entire northern continent and drink free beers every day! LOL I love the Brickboard!
