1995 Volvo t-5r needs a long crank on the ignition to start 850

I have to turn the ignition longer than with most cars in order for my engine to turn over. Is this likely a fuel pump going bad? Any other possibilities?

My 1995 turbo started doing that when the fuel pressure regulator failed. It would take 10-15 seconds to start every morning, and then start fine all day.

The gasoline in the fuel line would go through the FPR and down the vacuum line to the intake manifold. There it would vaporize over night and cause the cylinders to be overrich in the morning.

Check the white vacuum line that goes from the injector rail to the vacuum tree. If there is any liquid in it, that is you problem.
