I have a new Volvo keyless remote how can I program it to work?

    If you bought the new remote to replace one that has a broken case, just swap cases with the broken one. Otherwise, it is off to the dealer ($$$) for a re-programing.

      Klaus is right on target, as usual. The plastics they used in '98 seem to be deficient across the board, both in the car and the remote case. My shell disintegrated. Found an aftermarket one on ebay that works great.

      This particular year's remote is not user programmable, so a dealer would have to do it.
