removing intake V70-XC70 2003

Going to do my oil trap. Everything seems straight forward except removing the connects for the fuel rail.

Anywords on the procedure.

Also does any one know the torque for the intake mainfold screws.

Thanks Madness

Can you send us a picture of these fuel rail buttons ? I don't recall ever seeing such an animal. I guess a Ford might have one.

I see your getting the nerve to tackle this intake project. Congratz !
To disconnect the injectors, just unplug the quick disconnects and move the wire harness out of the way. Take photos of the vacuum lines and take note as to here every thing connects. It makes installation more worry free.
The torque on the intake manifold bolts is 14 Ft. Lbs. I hope you got all he new gaskets Vacuum lines and elbows that are needed. If you change them all you will have less problems later.
    Good luck!!! RK

removing intake two more question V70-XC70 2003

The fuel line. Seems very tight with no play.

To disconnect "help" do i push in the top green button and pull?

Does the manifold need to be loose to disconnect the fuel line?

Last question oil dip tube has one screw attached to the top of the mainfold. I took it off but only little play in the tube. Where else is it connected?

      Thanks Madness

On my 1998, I just loosened the fuel line by taking off the holddown at the top of the timing belt and another behind the engine. Then I could lift the manifold up and flip it out of the way.

The 1998 also had a support bracket next to the oil dipstick. The dipstick is not supposed to move, the other end is in the oil sump.

Klaus on the 2003 they have a rectangle with a green button on top and button. The line comes under the manifold

I guess I have to slowly retire :) and stick to the 850 and P1 cars.

Actually, I am going to get a 1967 122S wagon. I'll drop by for a visit after I get the alternator fixed :)
No computers, no fuel injection, mechanical fuel pump, and 4 fuses. LOL
