Replacing Front Rotors and Pads S60 2002

Anyone had any experience with the performance rotors and pads from these guys?
http://brakeperformance.com

I've also read that you should loosen the brake bleeder and compress the caliper piston (it's important to use the brake bleeder so you don't force the old fluid back through the ABS unit)
Any thoughts on this method?

Thanks

Reasonably cheap, $120-$150 a pair with pads thrown in. One problem: No mention of who makes the rotor or what kind of pads.

One of IPDs selling points for slotted rotors is the slot is as deep as the maximum wear allowed on the rotor. Makes it easy to determine when the rotors should be replaced. There is no mention of how deep the slots are on this web site and what kind of Chinese steel is used.

Be sure you know what you are buying, brakes are kind of important.

Thanks KlausC

I'm leaning toward getting the Brembo rotors and OEM pads from FCP.
Dust on the stock rims is not a problem.

Any thoughts on compresing the calipers and bleeding back through the bleed valve vs. back into the system.

Thanks again for you help.

I keep my master cylinder at the full mark and have never has a problem with overflowing when replacing pads. BUT, it is a good idea nonetheless. There won't be very much coming out of the bleeder valve and a shop cloth will work nicely.
Clean the caliper slides so that they shine like new, and then put some synthetic brake grease on them. I also like to lightly coat the area where the rotor attaches, after cleaning off the rust.

Have fun,

Replacing Front Rotors and Pads S60 2002

Any suggestions on where to place jack stands when doing the front brakes?
I'm looking at 2 possible points where the frame bolts to the body.
Any suggestions would be great.
Parts will be here on Tuesday.

That works, and the subframe.
I have a hydraulic shop jack, only do one side at a time, and never get under the car.
