Horn Blowing 850 1997

I have the horn problem which I had forgotten about (blocked it out of my mind) because they're unplugged. I've seen a little web info but would like a fresh perspective -what would/did you do? Rubber tape? new parts? Thanks very much.

Probably the horn ring under the airbag. Not a difficult fix, just disconnect the battery first, and do not re-connect it until the airbag is reattached. Leave the key out of the car the entire time, you don't want the ABS light to come on, only the dealer can turn it off.

2 screws on the rear of the steering wheel hold the airbag on.

Jeff Caplan at www.odometergears.com sells a nifty kit to fix the broken contacts.

What is the problem?????
Blowing all the time when connected? Most likely the problem is at the steering wheel contact or horn relay unless someone has disturbed wiring underhood or dash creating a short to ground. You would need to know what is causing the problem before thinking about rubber tape or new parts. I would diagnose the problem with meter and circuit diagram.

Oh, sorry, it is the most common problem of the horn blowing all the time when connected. There may have been one spirited blow too many :)
