the yellow one is OMP. i have them in my 850 and they are just as good as the others. they are cheaper, too. i bought them for less than $150 at a place in nj (forgot which store).

I believe that shop would be CFI Motorsports. Most people on this board have gone there to get their OMP strut braces, including myself. Pricing can vary sometimes, I got mine about half a year ago for $129. I think the lowest price ever was $119 but I'm not 100% sure.

Got mine from Nils Sefeldt Volvo; 1-800-468-0041. I don't recall the price but it wasn't any $200. Matte silver, has "Volvo" and "Sweden" written on it. Looks MUCH better than the std brace on the '01 that looks like it came from Home Depot.

Try www.borton.com or nilssiefeldtvolvo.com (spelling is probably off but check with yahoo). They are pretty good with prices.

Re: Tower strut brace? 850 1999

Get Volvo's one - Volvo's one? you'll hear dealers cry, but yes they do do a strut brace.

And it's identical in construction from the aftermarket ones usually because it IS an aftermarket one, but in plain aluminium rather than a spray-on colour.

What's more - in the UK at least, it's the cheapest version by a fair margin.

A 10-minute job to fit (don't forget to torque the nuts) it gives accurate steering and removes torque steer - at least it does on my R.

    volvotuning.com lists them all

your dealer may have the volvo one in stock, but it'll run you $200.00 US

as will the IPD one, and Eastern Aerospace one.

the OMP one is cheaper - but you see the stock problem others have complained about...

SAM's may be cheaper too - depending on the exchange rate
