Wheel Centercaps S70 98

Ok, this is going to border of frivolous posting, but here it goes anyway. I was just out washing my 98 S70 and came to the dreaded wheel cleaning part and found that the cosmetic surface emblem of one of the centercaps was hanging by a thread. It practically fell off in my hand. Has anyone else experienced this? I can't wait to go to the dealer on this one. I'm taking bets on the most likely dealer proposal. I'm actually thinking about leaving the cosmetic portion at home. That way they won't be inclined to put a little bubble gum beneath it to hold it on and send me home. My guess is it will fall under my warranty (up in Dec.), but doubt I'll get them to replace all four.

Popular problem. Someone posted a nice remedy

a number of months ago. There is some glue

called GOOP you can get from a hardware store.

I need to do mine also when I change over to

winter wheels.

Popular? I actually have some Goop. I just hate doing repair work for Volvo when I'm under warranty. Thanks for the input, it may still be the best route.

Re: Wheel Centercaps S70 98

I know that a couple of dealers use a silicon adhesive to hold the center caps in place after they are removed. It doesn't take much to do the job, just a 'dab'.
