Bumper:
Get some paste wax and rub off the surface rust, 2 times a year. The rust is caused my microscopic nicks, or larger ones, that allow water to get under the galvanized steel. Nothing to do with drainage, everything to do with dirt and neglect. Any spray material will just make it worse.
Tranny flush:
It is a 30 minute procedure. You will need 3 gallon containers, I use milk cartons. And 5-6 feet of clear tubing, 1/2 inch inside diameter. A small neck funnel for tranny fluid and a case of good tranny fluid.
Remove the hard plastic air duct between the radiator and the air filter - just pull the duct out of the air cleaner first then back it out of the raddiator opening. That exposes the dipstick and the cooler lines on the driver's side.
Remove the clip from the top tranny hose and pull the hose off. Be careful, the spring clip can shoot across the garage to never be found again :)
Attach the tubing to the end of the hose, put the other end in a container placed wher you can see it from the driver's seat. Start the engine, the flow will be immediate. When the container gets close to 1/2 full (2 quarts), turn the engine off and add 2 quarts through the tranny dipstick.
Repeat this process until you run out of fluid to put in.
Reconnect everything. Done.
Caution, do not try to take short cuts. If you start to see air bubbles in the hose, you are damaging the pump! Only pump 2 quarts at a time. I marked the containers at the 2 quart mark.
