850 Crankshaft and Camshaft locks for changing head gasket

Tomorrow I'm going to challenge myself and ATTEMPT to take the head off of the 850. In one set of instructions I have it calls for a crankshaft locking tool and a Camshaft locking tool. How ABSOLUTELY necessary are these and where can I get them? Keep in mind I'm in a small city (36000) in Arkansas so I can't just run down to the local foreign car parts place. The instructions show a front and rear lock tool for the camshafts.
