XC70 driveline or suspension chatter/vibration V70-XC70

Wonder if anyone has had this happen.....

Just had a rebuilt tranny put into my '03 XC70, rather disappointing since it just turned 50K miles. In the past week of normal commute driving I've had a half dozen instances of a vibration or resonance that is either coming from the drivetrain or suspension, I honestly cant tell. Its not unlike driving on one of those warning strips on the side of the road, only lasts 2 to 3 seconds. Everything else seems fine, no error messages or MIL indications. Its only happened in the 30 to 50 mph range at light throttle, mostly on slight upgrade highway. My tranny mechanic says its most likely the tranny adaptive computer reprogramming since it was "wiped" clean during the rebuild. He says give it a couple of hundred miles.

Is it the tranny or is there some other BIG bill coming my way?

Thanks.

Time to shoot the mechanic. It sounds like the first coupling to the rear drive shaft is a little loose. Check it asap. It is NOT the tranny computer!!!

        Just to follow up.....

brought the XC back to the tranny shop, put it up on the lift, had been reassembled OK. Drove it for another week, tranny went into limp mode, threw a bunch of codes. Long and short of it.....defective replacement valve body. Replaced free of charge, been driving it a week now.....seems fine...still amazing to be going through this with a car showing 50 K miles on the odometer!
