P2177 Code-ANY REMEDY? S60 2002

I've noticed my 2002 non turbo non AWD S60 sometimes experiences a shuddering or irregular vibration at around 50 mph or 2000 rpm, part throttle decelerating. A cheap scanner says P2177 as recurring trouble code, "too lean off idle" as mentioned elsewhere on this site. I've owned the car about 3 months and it has 97,000 miles and is otherwise great. I have a new fuel filter yet to install, should I take it to the dealer or try something else?

It is time for a new fuel filter anyway :) Probably time to check the vacuum elbows for cracks, as well as a leak along the intake manifold gasket. Sounds like unmetered air is getting into your manifold when the vacuum pressure increases (foot off the throttle).

Thank you kindly, Klaus, for taking the time to respond I will first check these areas. With the scanner I've been able to erase this code and it has not reappeared in two days now. But I will remain vigilant, Thanks again!!
