2004 V70 maintenance V70-XC70

I have read postings on the below and I am looking to confirm that I have the information correct:

2004 V70 : The AW5 transmission hold approx. 8 qts and MOBIL ATF 3309 meets the volvo spec.
The easiest way to flush the AT is removing the upper line to the radiator. How does one disconect that type of fitting??? metal to metal with a green plastic tab?? I hope I have identified the correct line.... upper/driver's side.
Volvo specs use ATF in the steering system... That would be
MOBIL 3309 ??

Brake fluid is listed as DOT 4, any recommended brands???

Drain plug washers of copper or aluminium??? The newer copper washer seem to need to be tightened excessively to prevent weeping.... any reason not to use the Al. ??? galvanic concerns??

I also have a 2003 XC: I haven't been able to locate a spec. oil for the Bevel Gear fluid. I need to change it soon.

I appreciate any help with the above, Art

I just flushed my trans. It was easy. I purchased half-inch ID tubing and disconnected the LOWER line. I put the hose end OVER the line running back to the trans and secured it with a cable tie. I drained two quarts and refilled two, until the fluid coming out was clear and bright. I used a case...12 quarts. My model is a 2004 NA V70. The proper fluid to use is the Mobil 3309 product. It says right on the bottle that it's made for Volvo, Lexus, Toyota etc. They use the same stuff at the Toyota dealer. The fitting is 'easy' to remove. You squeeze the tabs and withdraw the line from the cooler connection. I bought a spare green connector and o-ring but I did not need the connector. No leaks and car shifts great.

The oil plug uses an aluminum washer. I would purchase any name brand DOT 4 fluid. I bought Valvoline Syn-Power. I've used it before and never had a problem.
