Bread Clip Fix for AC clutch-Details needed 850

The posts I have read did not have photos or specific details- Can someone tell me eactly where to place the bread clips and how to trim the bread clips and glue them in place glue on one side or both sides, etc. Your exacting input would be appreciated.

I wanted to fix this next coming weekend-

I used metal washers with a segment cut out, because I tried break ties and they kept breaking. However be careful not to use something too thick to start with. The washers are thick ones and now my compressor is stuck ON all the time. The A/C is very very cold but I can't get the washer back out (I jammed them in good) so now I have to figure out how to drill them out or something. These are maybe 1/4" thickness so start much thinner! The credit card idea is a good one, or thin sheet metal.

    See Attached photo.

Get 3 bread clips, or as I did, just cut up a credit card into 3 small pieces > crawl under the front of the car on your back, no need to jack it up > locate the compressor > jam a plastic piece into each of the three contacts > put super glue on the top and bottom of the plastic piece if you are able to > then jam them all the way in and hopefully the super glue will make contact w/ something and make it permanent

If you have feeler gauges, I would check the clutch gap before and after. Before, mine was .9mm and now it is .15mm

Is this a fix for the AC system problem that causes the air to intermittently go on and off during hot weather? I'm not really comfortable with a DIY on this problem; how would I give these instructions to my mechanic?

      Thanks,

If the clutch fails to engage without help, the "real" fix is to remove the clutch and take a shim from the compressor side and put it on the outside. About 2 hours for a good mechanic.
