Hi there,

My car started lighting up the BRAKE and ABS lights earlier this month, then the spedometer would go to 0. After a few minutes, though, the lights would shut off and the spedometer go back to working. Then, the upward arrow started flashing and I had difficulty accelerating.

I had the car towed to my mechanic. They replaced the speed sensor thinking this was the issue. I drove the car without problems for about a week and then the lights and spedometer issues starting happening again.

This weekend the check engine light went off, hooray! But then the BRAKE and ABS lights came back on the and upward arrow started flashing again.

Any thoughts on how to address this?

    Your ABS module needs to be repaired. Do not buy a new one, much too expensive. Search the web for them or visit http://home.earthlink.net/~vicrocha/

    Victor is in California. There are some other outfits on the eastcoast, but I cannot vouch for them.

    Same issue. Consensus is that it's the ABS module, a common failure. The problem is well documented here and other places on the web. Search for Vic Rocha's website for more info. My parent's haven't gotten the module repaired yet, so I cannot confirm absolutely.
