Washer jet reposition/cleaning S40-V40 2001

Now that I have a nice new wiper arm so I can use the washer without scraping the trim, I have found that the washer jets shoot a straight, uniform jet right up over the car! I don't know how the previous owners drove without being able to wash their windshield! So how do I aim them down onto the glass, and maybe clean them a bit so the spray fans out more?

Tina, that setting is for doing 130mph on the Autobahn. I use a straight pin, insert it into the hole carefully, and then move the spray where I want it.

Keep a pin handy, after waxing the hood I usually wind up with paste wax clogging the washers and the pin gets it out.

AtmosKlear must be a Midwest thing?

To make the washer jets aim toward the windshield, I use a short piece of piano wire or a tip cleaning wire from a cutting torch. Insert the wire into the sprayer and bend it down until thr water hits the windshield. I hope this helps you. RK
