putting it back together, vac connection and placement of switch? 850 1994

Hello,

I am putting together a 94 850 Turbo after a head job, and there are a few items that I am not sure where to put. They do not show on the pictures I took before I took it all apart, as other items obscure the view.
One of them is a vacuum switch or sensor: it has 3 vacuum lines that go to it on one end, and the other end has an electrical connector. Its bracket has two boltholes, where do I attach it?
The other is a vacuum line coming from the left fender, passes under the hood latch and goes toward the radiator. Where does this connect?
Thanks,

Balu

It's the turbo boost controller. One line goes to the compressor side of the turbo, one to the waste gate, and one to the bypass valve. They should be color coded and listed on the vacuum diagram. The unit fastens to the end of the air filter box. The line running along the fender is for the boost gauge. It should end up connecting to the vacuum tree on the intake manifold.

Wow, thank you Tom, you really know this engine bay!
No wonder than that I did not find where is it supposed to go: I did not reinstall the airbox yet!
      Cheers,

      Balu

Wow, you are really trying to test my imagination with this post!!!

Easy one first? The line coming from the fender, could that be for the cruise control vacuum pump under the battery tray? Another option is for the charcoal cannister which will plug into the solenoid above the radiator.

The other one? Is that the waste gate, blow off valve, at the turbo? Only thing I can think of with bolt holes and 3 lines.

      Hi,

I really don't think it's the wastegate, but probaby a turbo-only thing. I am out of town for along weekend, but I will post a picture next week.
Thanks a bunch for trying to guess it!

      Balu
