ZIMMERMAN) CROSS DRILLED BRAKE ROTORS AND A SET OF MINTEX BRAKE PADS S70 1998

Does anyone have any experience with "Zimmerman Cross Drilled Rotors" and "Mintex Brake Pads" for a S70? Supposedly it is an upgrade over OEM. Any comments?

I am not sure about the rotors but I am familiar with the pad. I would guess your talking about redbox pads. They are dustless and tend to be quiet. They will glaze though if pushed hard. They also have some continium fade. If you are looking at the C-tech pads, they perform very well. They do dust though and can make a slight hissing sound whn cold. Atleast they do on my drilled/slotted rotors.

had the zimmermans w/ mintex on an 850 turbo wagon and the combination was noisy as hell. not screeching but rather like a weedwacker in the distance. drove me crazy when i drove w/ the windows open...

the first set of zimmerman front rotors warped like tacos [well, not really that bad] w/in 200 miles! second set sent under warranty never warped....never saw any cracks but i am not hard on brakes...
