The lights on the dashboard somtimes do not work, while other times only half of the dash is illumunated. Then other times the lights come on when I hit a bump- any ideas of what to check? Thanks.

Could be the dimmer switch also. Pop it out and it a cleaning.

If your going down the road and dash lights go off and you give the cluster a good little rap with your fist and the lights come back on, the bulbs are loose and need to be replaced.

I don't know if anything is in series here, so I can't explain why half come on sometimes.

I know that when my cluster lights came on intermittently, it was the headlight switch that had gone bad.

Wiggle the key around a bit to see if that makes them flicker. If it does then it's a pretty easy job to just replace the ignition switch.

the bulbs behind the dash are starting to come loose......I would pull the instrument cluster and replace all the bulbs. not too difficult, but does take some patience.
