Thanks everyone, glove box door... 850 97

Robert, Glen and everyobne else thanks for the help on the glove box door. I searched the archives and found out what to do. I'll order the latch assemb. kit and the wire hook before cutting. Before I had the info I was ready to destroy the face of the glove box door and get a replacement from the wreckers. Good thing I waited and got the info. I am sort of new to Volvo's. Actually I am from the 'other swedish' persuasion, don't hold it against me!

Thanks again.

Clifford Quan

    Hey Cliff,

From Saab to Volvo man as well? Do you still have your spg with the goodies on it or no?

Funny to see your name that's not on the saabnet.

    Bill

Clifford: Sounds like another "sob" story to me :>) Anyway, before you try cutting that lock latch, try pushing IN on the glovebox door, and wiggling the key, and similar maneuvers. Sometimes those locks act up because there is too much crap in your glovebox, and it is just physical pressure, pushing them outward, that makes them hard to open. Other times, something gets caught (like a piece of cloth, etc., etc.) in the lock mechanism. And, yes, the lock itself just decides to die.--PD.
