To Dr. Evil and all others that have commented on this subject:
It appears that not enough folks on this board believe that Volvo is at fault or can be held responsible for the evaporator problems. I personally feel that the evaporator should last more than three to four years on a $35K car which I expect to drive at least 250K miles. Especially when I hear stories about people that have had to replace multiple evaporator cores (see http://home.att.net/~kino.velez/volvo/). (I wonder, if those who feel that Volvo is at no fault, would feel that way if/when their $1K bill came every three to four years).
Anyhow, as many of you have stated, it may not be worth pursuing this any further, especially since I have not yet heard back from Milberg (the law firm that I initially contacted). I have interpreted this as a disinterest on their part to pursue this case. If anyone else is so inclined to take the lead, good luck.
Just a word of caution - this board's moderators will frown on soliciting support for action against Volvo. So, if you or someone else you know, would want to look at options to hold Volvo accountable, I recommend that you explore avenues other than the Brickboard.
Happy Holidays.
