1993 850 GLT 850 1993

I am looking at a 1993 850 GLT. I know 1993 was not the best year to buy an 850 but does anyone know what specific problems the 1993 is known for. Thanks.

    1993 850 GLT 850 1993

1993 was a bastard year; wheels, suspension, timing belt, computerized electronics, were the worst of the components. Those unique parts make finding spares quite difficult.
If I were in that market, I would look for a 1994-5. Paying an extra $500 for easier access to parts would be a plus for me.

We've had good luck with our 1993 850GLT(Calif car). Bought it new and now has 134,000 miles. Only major things were radiator and AC compressor around 120,000 miles. Everthing else is original. So far parts are still easy to get.

If you want more power look for a 1994 or newer turbo as none were offered in 1993.
