symptom of bad Impulse Sensor AND camshaft sensor??? 850 1995

How often would an 850 need replacement of BOTH an Impulse Sensor AND camshaft sensor??? The problem was an intermittent no start, and it eventually stalled out in traffic, was towed in, and the small garage replaced both of these items. Charged $225 labor.

I believe the camm sensor would prevent your car from starting but would not cause it to quit once it got going. It will eventually go bad though so it's good insurance to get it replaced. It's only about a half hour job though at the most. Don't know what the "impulse sensor" is.

Not worth small claims court, and your car now runs.

If you would have checked the codes while the car was on the side of the road waiting for a tow, you would have known. Now, there is no way to verify which part really failed.

I also would have replaced the CPS first.
