Taking it out 850 1996

Wish me luck next week - I'm finally taking the 850 out after 8 long months of storage. With old gas and likely a dead battery, I'm wondering how she'll start or even turn over. Then again, the car's only got 86k miles on it so I probably shouldn't be worried about it. And it's still in mint condition too. :)

Trickle charge the battery for a day or 2. Then start it up and run it. Your gas should still be "good", just refill the tank after using 1/2 tank.
Get the mice out!!!

Are you selling any of your part from your R. If so I need the down pipe from the turbo to the cat. I can pay to have it shipped. I need it because over the summer my cat. fell off don't ask it was a northern car full of rust. now i need to pass inspection.

I can reply to this. Unfortunately, my car is not an R - it is a base sedan with automatic. So you'll probably be disappointed. Sorry, but I wish I could help you.

What state did your car reside in? Your vehicle should not have been full of rust underneath. Mine has been a Vermont car its entire life, and still shows no sign of rust at all. Then again, it is always in storage during the winter months.

Did you use Stabil or some other fuel stabilizer for the fuel? If not I would be inclined to drain the tank and put in fresh fuel before I even tried to start it.

I go through this every year with my boats and jet skis. With a stabilizer they start and run kinda crappy, but they do run and I've had no other problems after I get a fresh tank of fuel in them.
