Still searching oil leak/PCV questions 850

so I still have a pretty good oil leak that is dripping off the bottom of the turbo. I checked the nipple at the bottom of the intake hose and it was pretty funky but not completely blocked, I cleaned it out. I replaced the vac lines and elbows etc around the turbo and intake hose. The PCV hoses were in good shape at that end. I don't have great vacuum but it's not positive pressure either...yet. No smoke from the dip stick but the intercooler hose at the top of the turbo gets quite a bit of oil in it.
The turbo oil lines are fine/dry. The oil drips from the bottom of the turbo, down on the engine mount, around/on the driveshaft etc and all the way back to the cross member via the engine mount . all over the place.

If all the hoses etc. in the pcv system look ok do ya think I'm OK with just changing the oil separator?
As far as blowing seals, I would expect there to be considerable positive CC pressure which I don't have. I'm in more of a neutral state pressure wise.
Thanks
Jim

If you call IPD, they have a couple seals that are specific to the turbo that their catalog says are prone to leak.

"think with your dipstick Jimmy" is the wacko little irishman that runs around smacking everyone with a dipstick to promote castrol's new synthetic oil that is supposed to be 8 times better than mobile one.......

anyway, i would get the problem looked at soon to prevent a meltdown of your turbo......

Yup, mine was the turbo oil drain line gasket and to a lesser extent the cam seal. Both are inexpensive.

I had a very similar problem recently that turned out to be the cam seals leaking. It drips out the cam seal, down the block, onto the turbo and onto everything else from there. It had me fooled for quite a while thinking it was a the turbo's oil drain line leaking.

As far as changing the PCV system goes, I would definitely recommend going for it. It seems like a pain, but I can assure you doing a rear main seal will be a much bigger pain. Waiting until the RMS goes is probably not the best course of action.

Your hoses may all seem fine, but I'd still want to get in there and change the separator where I think much of the problem lies.
