Is it really true that to replace the thermostat in my S60 2.4T that I need to replace the housing with the thermostat at a cool $120 for the part. This seems very strange to me.

That's a new one for me. If the 2 bolts that hold down the housing are torx, they get replaced with conventional bolts, but not the housing.

Klaus, thanks for the response. When I go to my favorite Volvo parts website, FCP Groton, all I can find is the housing/thermostat assy listed. I suppose I'll have to give them a phone call to see what gives. Thanks again.
