I'm experiencing a confusing situation. I'm hearing what appears to be a scraping sound. Ithought that the noise originated from either the alternator or the steering pump, but upon turning the key to the Number one position, the sound still persists, but from an area near the passenger headlight. Any ideas as to this annoyance and the likelihood and ease of fix?

The only motor in that location is for the headlight wiper. Unfortunately, it is a real pain to get at. Your best bet is to just unplug it.
