95 turbo running rich?? 850

95 850 turbo. When the car is at idle, either cold or hot,the smell of gas fumes is fairly strong. Its not a raw unburnt gas smell. Also my check engine light is on and the mileage is down, which stands to reason that I can smell excess fuel. Also the idle is erratic/slightly rough. any ideas?

    You could have a gas leak at the tank that so many complain about or you could have bad seals on your injectors. You should have the entire fuel system checked soon and perhaps carry a fire extinguisher.... IPD sells a nice small one that fits in the glove box.

    When you check your codes you will find one of them for the front O2 sensor, just clear it.

    What you have is a vacuum leak that is causing the engine to run rich. Look around the intake manifold for bad elbows. If the leak is large enough, you should be able to hear the air going in.
