I'm having the front end lower control arm bushings replaced on my XC. The local garage wants to include a 4 wheel alignment with this job. Is thi really necessary? The car tracks fine etc.
Thanks for any advice.

    Yes. It may be possible to come close but a machine will verify correct alignment.

      With the suspension components, they can mark the parts so the replacement is close to the previous alignment. But, it won't be precise, and you can risk tire wear and other mischief without it.
