Hello,
My power steering rack decided to go. I am thinking of attempting the repair my self. Is there any info I should know going in to this (ie-special tools or weird stuff). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi, repaired my 850-94 rack last summer by renewing the leaking upper pinion gasket (30e). Dirty job, much cleaning under car but doable and saved a lot of e as volvo unit is 860e and factory rebuilt 600e + labor. used volvo fluid (20e) and installed magna filter in return line to catch possible dirt out.
    Look for volvospeed.com/Repair/power_steering.pdf, which was big help for me.
