weird acceleration issue S40-V40 2000

ive been having a problem were when the car is at running temperature and i go to really press on it for extra acceleration going up a hill and it starts to feel like it loses power and while it doesn't slow down or stall it wont accelerate until i light off the gas and then press the gas lighter. it does have a turbo with the 1.9 liter engine and it also has traction control and when the problem happens its almost as if not all of the cylinders are firing. i was just wondering if anyone else is having this problem.

It sounds like it is flooding at wide open throttle. Check the spark plugs and clean the throttle body. Replaced the air filter lately?
