How to replace a Headlight S40-V40

I need to replace the whole headlight assembly plus the corner (turn signal) light on my daughter's 2000 S40. Can anybody give me directions on how to do it? I have nothing (manuals, etc) for this car. I can not afford a body shop/mechanic to replace those. Just the parts are expensive. Do I need to align the headlights after replace it?Tks

How to replace a Headlight S40-V40

On the S/V70, the assemblies are held to the frame by 4 10mm screws. The corner light is held to the headlight by a plastic bracket, pushing down the plastic tab allows the corner light to be pushed forward and out. If you take out the headlight assembly, it comes forward.
Yes, you will have to adjust the light up or down but probably not from side to side. Adjustment is fairly easy: Find a level spot and a wall. park the car with the bumper touching the wall. Tape a 8X11 sheet of white paper to the wall in front of both headlights. Note the bright area and using a marker, draw a line across the paper at the top edge of the line. Back up about 25 feet and adjust the headlight. The bright lines should be about 1 inch below your marks. Adjust left to right to keep the light in the same position, ie, should not wander from one side to another as you back up.

If it is just the glass that was broken, then replace just the glass. The entire corner light will have to be replaced, about $25 aftermarket.

How to replace a Headlight S40-V40

I finally got to replace the headlight. I was able to get the old one out, with some difficulty but since it was broken I was able to pull it out. Now to put in the new one : I got an English Haynes manual for the car and it says to "slacken and remove the two mounting bolts, working underneath the car,on the side of the headlight to be replaced" .Since there is a picture I was able to locate these bolts. However the next step is "undo the the screw securing the relevant end of the front bumper to the wing, then free the bumper and move it forward slightly to gain clearence required for headlight removal/replacement".
This is the part I can not figure out...Where is the this particular screw securing the front bumper to the wing? What is the wing? Is that the plastic bumper cover or the bottom black piece of plastic (front spoiler?)? Tks for yr input.
