Mine conked out at 104K...won't pass another state inspection.
Any suggestions for repair service. I do not have time or inclination to DIY.

If you were closer to me in Easton PA, I'd say bring it to me and I would charge you $200 to do something you can do in a few hours and with no special tools. I'd even supply donuts and coffee, but only for $200 (I don't normally keep coffee here).

Since you don't want to do this, my advice would be to find someone local who is good with his/her hands. It is really a straightforward job, and covered well in writeups on the web. Then that person could come to your house with like three tools, and complete the job while you watch the playoffs...

The gears can be bought for $25 at volvopartsonly.com last I ordered.
Bay 13 has full instructions on pulling the dash and replacing them, even if that's helpful for whom you take it to because you don;t want to do it yourself.

There are 2 plastic gears that drive the odometer, normal online cost is about $40 for both. It takes about 30 minutes to get the instrument cluster out of the car, another 30 to replace the gears and the light bulbs, time to move the odometer up to the correct reading, and 15 minutes to put it back in the car. There are pictures with write ups all over the web.

Or you can have a shop do it for $200 - 500, and they will not reset the odo or replace the bulbs.
