Ignition Switch? V70-XC70 2003

Well im back! anyways i currently own a 2003 V70NA. my wife drives this car, we recently took it into the dealer under the Volvo VIP warranty to get the following repaired

Inside Turn Signals Intermittantly Working
Dash Light's Going On And Off By Themselves
Dash Computer Resetting
054 Displaying On Dash
Beeping From Dash Area
Headlight's Going On And Off
Occasionally Engine Just Shut's Off

Now you would have think they could have fixed it with the list i just put here, but no according to Palm Springs Volvo they could find nothing wrong with the car, any one have any idea which wire i can cut to finally just break the car :)

Am i outta my mind thinking the ignition switch is toast here?

Is there any chance a wiring harness got damaged, or overheated? I read on a different forum where an owner was seeing some fairly strange things no one could relate to. Turned out his harness had overheated, and was shorting out inside causing all kinds of strange things. I make mention of this in case there is something you might remember like an accident and this is after the repair, or the one time smell of wiring burning. Klaus however has the more logical probability of why, so I would start there 1st unless you can relate to the above.
